Worship

This is your weekly update and check-in from your minister. I hope you are all doing well and that you have settled into somewhat of a routine (especially those with children at home).

I read an interesting and insightful article about how to cope in these circumstances. Here is the link for those who would like to read it:

There will be no on-campus meetings for any of these ministries. However, the team will continue to connect with the youth and families online, through email and on social media. We have an amazing team that will keep the ministries going through this time. To connect with any of the team members, please check the website.

We have a team ready to help with any needs. If you need help with anything please contact the office (office@cpcmail.ca or phone and leave a message (519)623-1080), or Lynda Pinnington (session@cpcmail.ca) or myself (aubrey@cpcmail.ca).

Thank you very much for your faithfulness with your tithes and offerings. I am humbled by the amazing support for the life and work of the church that we have received from all of you, despite all of us going through very difficult financial times. I am blessed to serve in church like this.

I have been asked how we can give during this time, so here are the different possibilities:

  1. You can mail your offering to the church (7 Queen’s Square, Cambridge, ON, N1S 1H4).
  2. You can drop it through the mail slot at the office (the door will be locked so no contact).
  3. You can go online and make an e-transfer (we have set it up, so you do not have to use a password).
  4. Through PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance). Unfortunately, the office that sets this up us closed because of the pandemic so we are not able to set-up new PAR accounts. We will be able to do this in the future again.

The prayer ministry continues their work every Tuesday. If you have a prayer request, please send it to prayer@cpcmail.ca

Stay connected (but stay home!)

Please remember to stay connected. Send an email or a text, better still pick up the phone and check in with friends and loved ones.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NLT)

17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
    and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
    and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
    and the cattle barns are empty,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
    I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength!
    He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
    able to tread upon the heights.

God bless,

Aubrey
