Taking stockThe halfway point seems like a good place to take stock of our canpaign. Fishy spelling aside, with the 134 cans we collected this week, our total thus far is 667.  That  puts us a mere 4,333 cans away from Aubrey’s goal.

We need to do some math, so it’s time to go back to school.

To achieve a record catch, we need 800 cans over the next 7 weeks. That means we must net 115 cans per week. At the rate we’re going, that’s pretty much like shooting fish in a barrel. However, to reach Aubrey’s lofty perch, we must reel in 619 cans per week.

That’s a lot of sardines. We all need to pier into our cabinets and see what we can haul in.

So Central, let’s get fishing.

Remember, if you don’t want to shop, you can donate online and one of our bargain hunters will reel in the catch for you.
