Pick of the crop

Cans Collected

Cambridge food bank

That’s not a typo. We harvested 222 cans of fruit for our friends at the Cambridge Food Bank. Yes, that’s an impressive haul, bringing us up to 837 cans so far. At that pace, we would collect 2,279 cans by Labour Day.

Remember why we’re doing this.

Inflation has driven food prices way up. The tight rental market has sent rents through the roof. There are a lot of people in our community who are struggling to put food on the table. There are a lot of people, with full-time jobs, who, because of these sky high prices, just can’t make ends meet.

The need is great. So, we need to step up and make a difference.

How can you help?

Easy, bring a can or five to church on Sunday.

You can also drop cans off at the church office Tuesdays or Thursdays between 9:30am and 12:00pm

Or, if you don’t want to shop, you can donate via e-transfer to @office@cpcmail.ca or you can donate online in the form below.

 Spread the Word.

This week, if you find a really good price on canned fruit, put it on the church’s Facebook page with the hashtag #pricepick.
