We, the Go-Guatemala team, would like to thank everyone who supported our efforts to build a stronger community among the indigenous people of Cubulco. With your assistance, we added three classrooms to Iglesia
Cristo es la Luz, a church just outside Cubulco, Guatemala. In addition, we started a chicken program to improve economic opportunities for the community surrounding the church.
For 6 days, 7 Canadian volunteers worked alongside approximately 12 local volunteers from the church, to build the classrooms. Coming alongside and working together with the Guatemalans was a very inspiring and uplifting experience.
Together, we built a place where children can learn about God’s love and God’. s care for them. We built friendships and we built relationships. Those friendships and that shared work, was a living demonstration of faith and love in action.
None of this would have been possible without the support and prayers we received from home.
