Our own Central Presbyterian Church Choir presented two seasonal anthems, ‘Breath of Heaven’ and ‘Joy in Judea’ at the 20th Choirs and Carols 2018 hosted by Wesley United Church, Galt on Sunday evening, December 2nd.
Our Choir has had the great pleasure to participate in this annual ‘kick-off to Advent and Christmas’ throughout many of the past 20 years. Other Choirs included Wesley United Choir and Handbells; St. Luke’s United Choir; St. Andrews Presbyterian Choir, Hespeler; Peace United Church Choir, Plattsville; Soul Purpose, Apostolic Church, Kitchener; and Special Guest, Mezzo-Soprano Sylvie Godbout.
The Mass Choir of 150 presented the anthem was ‘Days of Elijah’ which brought the house to their feet and everyone present then closed the evening with Silent Night.
We are so blessed to be directed by Gwen Darling and Accompanied by Brad Paddock on piano and Chad Collins on percussion. This wonderful celebration of seasonal church music happens every year on the 1st Sunday of Advent so mark December 1st, on your 2019 calendars!!
