Yes I know, it’s an awful pun, but that that’s what you get when you decide to be bean counters.
Trillium United Church has taken up our challenge and they are collecting cans of brown beans for the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank. Their goal is 2,281 cans. That would be one more can than our fishing expedition brought in last year.
We, on the Missions & Outreach committee at Central, would like to thank Trillium for taking up the challenge. We’ll follow their progress over the summer and keep you up-to-date with their progress as well as ours.
By the end of summer, we know that Trillium will be able to look back at their goal and say just exactly that. “Bean there, done that”
