Going the Extra Mile is our annual fundraiser for our mission to Rachel’s Home. Rachel’s Home is an orphanage and community school for the child victims of Lesotho’s ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis. Rachel’s Home is more than just a shelter. It’s a loving Christian home and it’s also a school. Located on the outskirts of Maputsoe, Lesotho, it has offered a safe haven and a place to grow, for more than two decades … and Central has been there, supporting it’s efforts almost from the very beginning.
We have sent teams to Rachel’s Home twice. Through your generosity, we fund the salaries of the teachers as well as providing funding for nutritious meals, vitamin supplements and clothing. We also fund secondary and post secondary education, for the children of Rachel’s Home, where possible.
All of this is made possible through your contributions.
So, how can you help?
Well, you can participate in our Going the Extra Mile fundraiser. Get a pledge form. Commit to run, walk or ride 5km sometime between October 12 and November 17 and find sponsors for your run. Can’t run? No problem. Sponsor one of our participants. Every “penny” raised goes directly to supporting our mission in Lesotho. There is no overhead. Every single penny.
So please, get involved. Run, walk, ride … or, and this is the most important one, sponsor.
