The Missions & Outreach Committee would like to welcome you to an evening in Guatemala with Alejandro, January 14, 2017 @ 7:00pm
In January 2014, Alejandro and a team of dedicated Christians traveled to Cubulco, Guatemala to help the local community build a church.
Cubulco is a small town up in the hills of Guatemala. The community struggles to provide economic opportunities to its people. Education, childhood malnutrition and access to safe drinking water are also a concern. The local people are largely Achi Maya who speak the Achi language and continue to practice their ancient cultural traditions. Many are open to Christianity and today that church thrives with more than 150 people including children. Church members have no public transportation and may have to walk as many as 6 hours to worship.
The new church is at the center of community life. It serves both as a community centre and church.
Alejandro, and his team, continue their commitment to strengthening this community. Another trip is in the planning stage.
Please join us as Alejandro speaks about his mission in Cubulco. Missions change lives. Alejandro will introduce you to his team and the community of Cubulco and he will show you how this mission has affected lives, both within the community and on his team.
