Ten years ago, we began reaching out to Rachel’s Home, an orphanage for the child victims of Lesotho’s AIDS crisis. Over the course of the past decade, through highs and lows, we’ve walked alongside Hilda Seforo, the director of Rachel’s Home, as she cared for children abandoned to the mean streets of Maputsoe.
Please join us Sunday February 7, 2016 @ 6:30pm as we celebrate ten years of service at Rachel’s Home.
Stephanie Vizi will introduce us to life in Lesotho with her short documentary, Mamosala: Being a Young Mother in Lesotho.
Stephanie was a member of both our 2009 and 2012 missions to Rachel’s Home. After graduating from African Studies program at the Carleton University, Steph spent a year in Lesotho working with Help Lesotho, an organization dedicated to alleviating poverty in one of the poorest countries on Earth. Mamosala is the story of one young mother that Steph met during her work.
After the video, Steph will be available for a Question and Answer session, followed by a time of fellowship with hot drinks and dessert.
Families are welcome.
Come and learn about life in Lesotho and Central’s Lesotho mission.
