Central Presbyterian Church’s Children Ministry includes young ones from infancy to Grade 6. Central provides a safe, warm and caring environment for children to grow in their faith and be a part of a loving church family. The following information provides a summary of the various aspects of Children’s Ministry at Central.
SUNDAY MORNING PROGRAMS
Nursery
Nursery is provided for young children up to 2 years of age each Sunday.
Sunday School
Sunday School classes are available for children aged 2 years to Grade 9. On Praise and Worship Sundays, youth in Grades 7 to 9 are invited to stay in the service.
Children’s Church
Children’s Church is an open Sunday school class for children in JK to Grade 6, and is provided during the summer and on some holiday Sundays. Classes are still available for children ages 2-3 years old.
MID-WEEK PROGRAMS
Kidventure
Who: Girls in Grades 2-6
When: 2nd & 4th Monday of the month, from September to June, excluding holidays.
Time: 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
What: We learn about God and grow in our faith while sharing a great meal together. We also play games, make crafts and have loads of fun.
Bible Wonders
Who: Boys in Grades 2-6
When: 1st & 3rd Monday of the month, from September to June, excluding holidays.
Time: 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
What: We learn about God and grow in our faith while sharing a great meal together. We also play games, make crafts and have loads of fun.
HoneyBees, Little Whiskers and 1derful 1s
Who: Honeybees is for children 2-3 years of age, Little Whiskers is for JK/SK children and 1derful 1s is for yep, you guessed it, kids in Grade 1.
When: 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month, from September to June, excluding holidays.
Time: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
What: We learn about God, play great games, make neat crafts and enjoy a snack.
KIDS CLUB
Who: All children from Grade 1 to 6 are invited to participate. Activities are often open to their families as well. We encourage children to invite their friends.
When: Usually the 3rd Saturday of the month, from September to June, excluding holidays. Times may vary.
What: Awesome activities, sometimes off-site. Activities may include movie matinees, sledding, field trips, etc. Bring your friends!
