Our next Alpha program begins with our celebration dinner, Monday September 18, at 6:15pm.
What is Alpha?
Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith.
Each evening starts with a meal. Whether it’s a group of friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch-up over coffee, food has a way of bringing people together. It’s no different at Alpha. All sessions start with food, because it’s a great way to connect, relax and build friendships.
Following the meal, there is a 30 minute talk designed to be engaging and inspire conversation as we explore the big questions about life that there usually isn’t time to think about: questions “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?”, “Why does God allow suffering?”, “How does God guide us?” and “Why am I here?”
After the talk, the group splits into small groups to discuss what was heard. Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas about the talk without being corrected or judged. There’s no obligation to say anything; it’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective.
You don’t have to be a Christian to attend. There is no homework and no expectation or requirement that you attend every session. And, as a participant in Alpha, you are our guest. We don’t charge anything for Alpha. The meal and any session materials are provided as our gift to you.
Please join us. Everyone is welcome!
