The Survivors

The Survivors is the story of 10 Survivors of residential school from the Cree Nation of Mistissini, Quebec. They bravely shared their stories with filmmaker, Stephanie Armstrong, who has spent the last decade visiting the Cree Nation, participating in community events and practicing reconciliation with the Cree people. Through their resiliency and vulnerability we listen as the Survivors share messages of pain, trauma and ultimately hope – for they do not call themselves victims, but rather conquerors.
