June 11
It seems so many things can change and happen in a week. Just last week I wrote about the session creating a team to start working on a plan for re-opening the building for worship in the future. Here we are a week later, and we have had an announcement from the government that churches can re-open their buildings to 30% of seating capacity as of June 12th. This announcement came as quite a surprise to many, if not all of us.
This of course has many implications. We will have to consider things like, when are we going to physically re-open the building? How will the re-opening process look like? What protocols will we have to have in place before we can do this? To name but a few.
Our main concern in all of this is the health and safety of all members and that will be our top priority as we work through this process. As I said last week, the session has appointed a team to work on this process and we are up and running.
We will keep you updated on our progress. As soon as we have everything in place we will make the announcement on the date of our first gathering and the protocols that we have in place.
Please check the website at https://centralchurchcambridge.ca/ often. We will post all information regarding this process on the website as soon as it is available. The same information will also be communicated by email and the elders will phone everyone in the congregation to make sure the information gets to everyone.

Psalm 113
1 Praise the Lord!
Yes, give praise, O servants of the Lord.
Praise the name of the Lord!
2 Blessed be the name of the Lord
now and forever.
3 Everywhere—from east to west—
praise the name of the Lord.
4 For the Lord is high above the nations;
his glory is higher than the heavens.
5 Who can be compared with the Lord our God,
who is enthroned on high?
6 He stoops to look down
on heaven and on earth.
7 He lifts the poor from the dust
and the needy from the garbage dump.
8 He sets them among princes,
even the princes of his own people!
9 He gives the childless woman a family,
making her a happy mother.
Praise the Lord!
God bless,
Aubrey
