YES, WE DID IT! Our Preacher Now Has Green Hair (And We Have 3,155 Reasons Why)
This summer, we set a goal. A big one. A souper big one. (Sorry, we had to.)
We challenged ourselves to collect cans of soup for the Cambridge Food Bank—because we believe in feeding our community, standing together, and maybe, just maybe, having a little fun along the way.
The stakes?
If we reached our goal… Aubrey would preach with green hair.
And guess what?
You all showed up in the most incredible way. Drumroll, please… 🥁
We collected 3,155 cans of soup!
That’s not a typo. That’s three thousand, one hundred and fifty-five cans. Enough soup to feed a whole lot of bellies and warm a whole lot of hearts.
And yes, true to the promise, Aubrey took the pulpit last Sunday with hair that could only be described as holy guacamole green.
(You didn’t need to adjust your set—our preacher really did go full Grinch-chic for the cause!)
The best part? The hair might fade, but the impact won’t. The food we collected is already making a difference for families in our community.
So from all of us: THANK YOU.
Thank you for bringing cans, thank you for cheering us on, and thank you for reminding us what’s possible when we come together with purpose—and a splash of humor.
Let’s keep the energy going. Who knows what our next challenge will be? Purple hair? A sermon on stilts? Only time (and maybe a few more cans) will tell.
Until then, keep being awesome.
And Aubrey—green looks good on you. 💚
