Each spring, as nature reawakens along the shores of Lake Huron, the men of Rugged Hands Ministry gear up for their spring pilgrimage to Camp Kintail. This retreat is a time to make new friends and reconnect, but it’s also about getting your hands dirty and serving God’s Kingdom.

Camp Kintail, a beloved children’s summer camp owned by the Presbyterian Church in Canada, has been shaping young lives for generations. As the warmer months approach, the camp comes alive with preparations—and Rugged Hands is proud to be part of that work.

As always, the team came ready to serve. They built picnic tables, assembled Muskoka chairs, erected signage around the property, and pitched in wherever they were needed to help clean up the camp after the long winter. Every task was done with care, purpose, and a servant’s heart.

For Rugged Hands, this trip isn’t just about manual labour—it’s a way to live out faith in practical, meaningful ways. Side by side, the men shared laughs, conversations, and quiet moments of prayer as they worked. The bond of fellowship grew stronger with each task.

Of course, it’s about more than just work. Wonderful meals and meaningful fellowship are part of the Camp Kintail experience.

We’re grateful for our ongoing partnership with Camp Kintail, and for the faithful men of Rugged Hands who embody the call to serve. Their efforts will stand—one chair, one sign, one picnic table at a time—as a testimony to the power of work done in Christ’s name.
