
Youth and Young Adult Ministry Coordinator
Central is seeking a Youth and Young Adult Ministry Coordinator to help us build a welcoming, engaging, and meaningful ministry with youth and young adults in our church and wider community.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young people, is comfortable talking honestly about faith and life, and can create an environment where questions are welcomed, relationships matter, and everyone has a place at the table.
The Role
The Youth and Young Adult Ministry Coordinator will work with our minister, staff, volunteers, youth, and young adults to develop and lead opportunities for connection, faith exploration, service, and community.
Responsibilities will include:

Developing and coordinating regular programming for youth and young adults.

Building genuine relationships with youth, young adults, and their families.

Creating opportunities to explore Christianity and faith in ways that are relevant, thoughtful, and accessible.

Planning social activities, service projects, special events, and other opportunities to connect.

Encouraging youth and young adults to become involved in the broader life and work of the church.

Recruiting, supporting, and coordinating volunteers involved in youth and young adult ministry.

Looking for new ways to connect with youth and young adults in the wider Cambridge community.

Working collaboratively with the minister, staff, and church leadership.

Ensuring that programs follow the church's policies and practices for providing safe and welcoming environments.
Who We're Looking For
Experience in youth ministry, education, recreation, community organizations, or other work with young people would be preferred.
More importantly, we're looking for someone who:

Genuinely enjoys spending time with youth and young adults.

Is approachable, dependable, creative, and able to take initiative.

Is a good listener and comfortable with young people asking difficult questions.

Can relate Christian faith to the realities young people face today without expecting them to have everything figured out.

Is able to organize programs and events while remaining flexible when plans inevitably change.

Works well both independently and as part of a team.
