This week’s collection was 46 boxes of cereal. Hardly a number that will bowl you over.
This does, however, bring our total for the summer to 445 boxes. We are getting there, but as the song says “We’ve got a long way to go, and a short time to get there”. Eight weeks to be precise.
Yes, we need those numbers to pop, and we’re getting close to crunch time.
So, keep bringing in those boxes of cereal on Sunday.
Are we on pace for our goal of 1,000 boxes by Labour Day? Let's just say... the math says we need to dig in and eat our Wheaties.
The good news is that every single box helps our friends at the Cambridge Food Bank provide struggling families with a nutritious start to their day.
So, if you're heading to the grocery store this week, consider tossing an extra box of cereal into your cart. Together, we can make these next few weeks count.
