In 2009, we built a classroom. In 2012, we returned to Rachel’s Home to help build ablution facilities.
Each trip, we gave of our time to interact with children and staff. Rachel’s Home now has a strong and experienced teaching staff. In 2009, the school was very new and it’s staff was very young and inexperienced. Our teachers worked with and mentored them developing their skills.
The infrastructure we built was very important to the ongoing success of Rachel’s Home. However, such efforts pale in importance when compared to the relationships that are built.
Let’s take a peek back at our 2012 mission.
Next week, we’ll take a look at our ongoing efforts after 2012.
