Welcome Lunch: If you have started attending Central in the past year, we invite you to join us for our annual Welcome Lunch after the worship service on Sunday May 3, 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some new people, chat with current members and learn more about Central from some church leaders and our minister. Please let us know if you plan to attend by contacting Lynda Pinnington by email at session@cpcmail.ca or by phone at 519-622-2157.
Vacation Bible School 2026: VBS will take place July 20 until July 24 9am-12pm. Registration forms are available via our website or church or children’s ministry offices.
Small Groups: Small groups are coming to Central! We would like to begin with inviting interested people to our home on April 26 to begin the process of figuring out the logistics of the first small group. We pray that it will then grow from there. The proposal for the group would be to meet for Bible study (using an existing study guide) and fellowship and prayer. This proposal will be finalized on the 26th. If warranted, multiple groups will be made.
If you are interested in joining this group, please email us at alandannette@mail.com (note that this is NOT a gmail account).

Notes from April Session meeting:
Presbytery Grants: We are extremely grateful to have received two grants from the Presbytery of Waterloo-Wellington, one from the Knox's Galt Fund and one from the Endowed Projects Fund to start a marketing initiative focussed on young people, young families and the unchurched to encourage them to consider Central. This project will be led by our Media Team.
Spring Cleaning in the Kitchen:  A team is going to do a spring cleaning and reorganization of the kitchen. If your group uses the kitchen, please speak to Barbara Barrie.
Missions Events: The Missions Team is planning two events to support mission projects: Sunday Night at Central, a talent show, on Sunday May 31 at 7 pm, and a Garage Sale on Saturday June 13 from 9-12.
Restoration Fundraising: We will once again be participating in Doors Open Waterloo Region on Saturday September 19 from 10-4. We are also excited to announce that our next fundraising concert will be a collaboration with Allison Lupton and her band which includes Canadian National fiddle champion Shane Cook, on Saturday November 7.
Branding and Style Guide: The Media Team has developed a style guide with our new logo, font and colour scheme which will be used on all our publications.
Small Groups: The Congregational Development and Fellowship Team is working to launch a new small group initiative. Al and Annette Regnerus have volunteered to take a leadership role in getting things started. More information will be available soon.

Chopping Trees
The Rugged Hands Men’s Ministry fall retreat at Camp Kintail was, as always, a wonderful success. 12 guys made the trek up Hwy 21 to the shores of Lake Huron. There, we worked, we played, we worshipped, we ate like kings, and we built strong friendships. Friday night,...

We took a big step forward to cleanup the audio issues with our service today. The musical recording was still a bit choppy, but the sound quality of the sermon was good. With just a tiny bit more tweaking, I think we'll have it.
