The Annual Church BBQ: Join us today after service. Burgers, hotdogs and cold drinks will be provided. If you are coming, last name A-M, please bring a salad. Last name N-Z, please bring a dessert. No sign up necessary. Feel free to bring a lawn chair if you’d like. There will be some fun activities planned for the kids. Be sure to stay after church and enjoy the fellowship!
URGENT!
Our annual Vacation Bible Camp will run from July 20 – 24 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM and  registrations are closed. We currently have 57 children who will be attending, which is 20 campers more than last summer, and our Family Ministry Coordinator Jocelyn Versteeg will require 20-25 volunteers to provide sufficient support under the Leading With Care Guidelines. Please prayerfully consider if you might have just 15 hours over that week to offer help in guiding our young campers as they explore the nature of God through the Rainforest Falls. Please contact Jocelyn Versteeg at jocelyn@cpcmail.ca. It is a wonderful way to get to know our amazing and energetic Summer Staff and an opportunity to engage with youngsters who will have a memorable week growing in their knowledge of God’s love because you made some time for them.
FILL THE BOWL
GOAL: 1000 packages/boxes of CEREAL for the Food Bank by Labour Day.                                                                                                                         As of June 21 our total is 311.
Donations can be left in the red collection bin by the display board. Monetary donations are also welcome through etransfer office@cpcmail.ca or Sunday offering cheque, credit card or cash. Please indicate that your donation is for “FILL THE BOWL”. Thank you for supporting those in need within our community!  Summer All Ages Book Club: We’re kicking off a summer all ages book club with the classic story from the Chronicles of Narnia. Join us for a nice, light summer read with “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”. If you’re a fast reader, or just get hooked on the series, you can read the entire series!
If you’re looking for a deeper read this summer, let’s try “How to pray: a simple guide for normal people” by Pete Greig. Pete is astounded to be the international founder of the 24/7 prayer movement, and his book has been called ‘an instant spiritual classic’.
Summer Book Club kickoff: Sunday, July 12th after service.
Book Club wrap-up: Sunday, August 23rd after service.
Sign ups will be posted outside the library. If you already own a copy of any of the books and are willing to share your copy to help make the book club affordable for all, please sign up for that too!
Allison Lupton Concert November 7, 2026: Save the date!  Our next fundraising concert for the restoration project will feature Allison Lupton and a number of Canadian musicians including, Canadian fiddle champion Shane Cook. Saturday November 7th at 7 pm. Tickets and display posters will be available at the end of August.
Search Team Update: The Search Team is busy considering potential candidates for Central.  If you know of someone who might be a good fit to be our next minister, please contact our Interim Moderator, the Rev. Mark Richardson at revmsr@icloud.com.  Please keep in mind that all candidates must be qualified to serve in the Presbyterian Church in Canada, which generally means a person from a Reformed church such as Presbyterian, United, Christian Reformed etc.
Reminder: Pray for Our Search Teams Please set a phone alarm for 6:10 each day to pray for our search teams – for our new minister and for someone to work with our youth and our young adults. Choose morning, evening, or both—whatever fits your routine. Meditate on Matthew 6:10: “Your kingdom come; your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” as you ask the Lord to direct the search teams and the people who the Lord is calling to come and work with us.
