The world of the homeless may seem very far from many of us, but in fact, it is a reality for many in our own community. Today, in Cambridge, at any given time, there are between 1000 and 1200 homeless men, women and children. Some of them live precariously in and out of housing. Over 200 others, in our city, are persistently homeless, living outdoors 24/7.
With several of the Out of the Cold programs closing in nearby communities, there is an even greater need this year to open our hearts and our doors to those in need. These people and many others need our help.
Here, at Central, we are committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. Missions and Outreach will be launching our “Supper at Central” program. The program will offer meals once per month, on the second Tuesday of each month, from February to May. The meals will be served from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
