Christmas eve

From the Session, staff and worship team at Central, thank-you to everyone who attended our Christmas Eve Service.

The service, a mix of tradition and contemporary worship, celebrated the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Our youth danced in celebration. Our praise band and our children sang beautifully together. Our choir performed and, of course, our service opened as always, with a wonderful rendition of  Oh Holy Night by Jim Mateer.

Thanks to you, our collection of non-perishable food items for the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank was a wonderful success. This is the message of Christmas. Love your neighbour and share God’s blessing. With your help, we can help our friends at the Food Bank make a real difference in our community.

The Christmas season is always a time of retrospection. This was quite a year for Central. Our first full year with two services saw growth in both services as we shared the Good News. Our summer food drive, “Stuff a Buggy”, brought in more than 1100 jars of baby food for the food bank. Camp Kintail brought its Kintail on the Road summer camp to our church. With their help, Stacey and her crew of volunteers made it a wonderful success. Cindy and her team stepped in sustain and build our youth program.

Merry Christmas everyone and have a joyous New Year.
