On behalf of the Christian Education Committee, we would like to extend a thank you to everyone who made the Harvest Supper/Autumn Fair a huge success!  Eighty people attended the event.  A special thank you to those who donated money towards the purchase of meat, those who worked in the kitchen and helped with decorating, set up and clean up, those who baked pies, brought salads and donated items for sale at the market cart. And a big thank you to the people that attended the event.  The event raised $758.  This money will augment the Children/Youth Ministry budget.  Central is truly blessed by your support.

  • Praise and Worship Services: We will have a Praise and Worship service once a month on the third Sunday of the month beginning October 18.
  • Communion in homes: The Session is setting up a schedule to take communion to people who are homebound or in a nursing home and unable to participate in communion at the church.  If you know of someone who would appreciate this, please let Aubrey or any elder know.
  • Messiah: A professional group will be presenting Handel’s Messiah here at Central on Saturday November 28.  This will be a wonderful opportunity to hear a great musical masterpiece as we enter the Advent Season.  We hope everyone will come and bring their friends and family.
  • Choral Advent Service: After a hiatus of several years, the Presbyterian Churches in Cambridge are once again getting together to present a Choral Advent Service at Knox’s Galt on Sunday December 6 in the evening.
  • White Gift Sunday: White Gift Sunday will be December 13 with gifts divided between the Salvation Army and the Women’s Crisis Shelter.
