The flowers on the Communion table are placed in celebration of the wedding of Natalie Reid and David Bossence which took place at Central yesterday.
The congregation extends their sympathies to Alice Poland and Carolyn & Barry Sutton and their family with the passing of Dave on Friday.
The rose in the pulpit is to celebrate the birth of Jaxon Wesley Williams, a new grandson for Paul & Gillian Williams, a son for Adam and Renee Williams.
If you need to pray with someone after the service, Irene MacDonald and Peter Goudy will be available.
Today is Communion. Please find in the bulletin envelopes for donations to Central Cares.

NOTES FROM MAY SESSION MEETING
- Election of elders: Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for new elders. There was a tremendous response and several very capable people were nominated. We are in the process of contacting the nominees to ask them to stand for election. Please pray that God will provide direction to the people He wants to call to serve Him as elders in this congregation.
- Barbecue June 27: Our annual congregational barbecue will be held after the service on Sunday June 27.
- Summer Services: Our Sunday worship services will begin at 10 am starting Sunday July 4 until Sunday September 5.
- Library: We have a wonderful library with excellent resources for adults, teens and children. At the moment the library is being underutilized. We need someone who would be willing to promote the library and look after signing books/DVD’s in and out. Please speak to Stacey if you are able to help.
- Concerts at Central: Both the KW Symphony and the Grand Philharmonic Choir have booked dates to continue their concert series at Central through 2010-11.

Property Committee Update
East Chimney Rebuild
During the first stage of our roof restoration last summer it became apparent that the large chimney that vents our boiler (on the east side of the sanctuary) needed to be rebuilt. The top ten courses of stone had become loose from their mortar and represented a significant hazard. After obtaining a detailed tender document from Mr. Paul Everett three firms were selected to bid with the contract being awarded to Roof Tile Management from Mississauga.
Total cost to rebuild the top ten courses of stone and repoint the remaining layers to the roof line is $45,400.
Applications were made to the City of Cambridge Heritage Grant Programme and the Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation asking for assistance with this project. The committee is delighted to convey that both applications have been received favourably; Central will receive a total grant of $25,000. ($5,000 from the City and $20,000 from the Waterloo Regional Heritage Foundation). The consequent net cost to the church will be $21,000 which will be drawn from the reserve account.
Respectfully Submitted on behalf of the Board of Managers
