In March 2012, as part of our ongoing mission to support Rachel’s Home, we returned to Maputsoe with a team of 30 volunteers.
- We will constructed a strcuture that included 2 ablution blocks, one for boys and one for the girls. Each has 3 showers and a bathtub.
- We painted the interior of the Orphanage and the pre-school building and we added murals to the walls to brighten up the interior.
- We repaired the security bars and built a new gate to protect the orphanage.
- Our team of teachers worked with the students and teachers in the school to improve the teaching plan and introduce new programs.
- And, of course, we again showed that we are serious about continuing our mission to support the children at Rachel’s Home.
Over the next couple of month, we will tell the story of the mission and we will continue our efforts to help Rachel’s Home.
