Waterloo County Teachers’ Choir – Performing in Support of Rachel’s Home

Come join us Febrary 21st as we welcome the Waterloo County Teachers’ Choir to our sanctuary. This choir with more than 90 members will be performing a variety of music with an African theme. The cost for the evening is $15/person with all proceeds from this benefit concert going to support our mission to Rachel’s Children’s Home in Maputsoe, Lesotho.

Please join us in the hall after the concert as well. There will be free refreshments and our 2012 mission team will be available to answer your questions about Rachel’s Children’s Home. Just look for the light blue t-shirts.

The event starts @ 7:30pm.

Sunday School Teaching Schedule – Winter 2012

Youth in Grades 7-9 do not have classes on Praise and Worship Sundays or Children’s Church. They are invited to remain in the sanctuary for worship. Alternatively, the are welcome to act as shepherds and assist the teachers with their classes.

Parents: Want to know when combined classes are being offered, and what your child is learning each week?

Leaders teaching JK to Grade 6 are using the Faithweaver Program. From January to April, they are using the Winter 2011-2012 curriculum. For a breakdown of lesson plans, click on 2011-2014f aithweaverscopesequence

The 2&3 year old class is using the Play and Worship program – a fun and easy-to-use curriculum that explores a single theme over a 5 week period. The repetition, combined with a variety of activities, helps reinforce basic bible principles in a way our youngest students can easily grasp. Don’t miss this event!

Tubing at Chicopee Tube Park

1600 River Road East, Kitchener

Who: All kids in Grades 1 to 6

When: Saturday, January 21^st

Time: Arrive at 5:45 p.m. Tubing is from 6-8 p.m.

Cost: $10 (please speak to Stacey if cost is a concern)

Notes: Dress warmly! Children under 8 years of age must wear a CSA approved helmet.
Parents are encouraged to stay and have some fun too!
